Note: JobApplyz is currently in early development and preview. This policy describes how we intend to handle data as the product launches, and will be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before public launch and updated as needed to comply with applicable data protection laws in Pakistan, the Gulf region, and elsewhere.

1. What We Collect

When you use JobApplyz, we may collect:

Your resume file and the information extracted from it (name, contact details, work history, education, skills)
Your email address, if you join our waitlist or create an account
Job application activity within the platform, such as jobs you view, match with, or apply to
Basic technical information (browser type, general location, device type) for security and performance purposes

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Parse and understand your resume so we can match you with relevant job openings
Generate tailored cover letters and application materials using AI
Autofill job application forms via our browser extension, at your request
Improve the accuracy and relevance of our matching and AI features
Communicate with you about your account, application status, or product updates

3. AI Processing

Resume parsing, job matching, and cover letter generation are powered by third-party AI services (such as Anthropic's Claude API). Relevant parts of your resume and job data are sent to these services to generate results. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to provide you the service.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:

AI service providers, strictly to process your requests (e.g. parsing, matching, letter generation)
Hosting and infrastructure providers who store and run the platform on our behalf
Job boards or employers, only when you explicitly choose to submit an application through JobApplyz

5. Data Retention

We retain your resume and profile data for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion. You can request that we delete your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent for AI processing, which may limit some features

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Browser Extension

The JobApplyz autofill extension reads form fields on pages you actively choose to fill using your synced resume data. It does not submit forms automatically — you always review and submit applications yourself. The extension does not track your browsing activity beyond the page you ask it to fill.
